Benjamín Agüero on Trial with Inter Miami Academy

Few young players carry a footballing connection as recognizable as Benjamín Agüero.

The 2009-born forward is the son of Sergio “Kun” Agüero and the grandson of Diego Maradona, two of the most influential figures in Argentine football history. Now, as he continues to build his own path in the game, Benjamín has arrived in South Florida for a new opportunity.

Kun quickly became one of the most exciting young talents in Argentine football, beginning a career that would eventually take him to Europe and establish him as one of the most successful forwards of his generation.

Benjamín is now following his own journey through the same club where his father first broke onto the professional stage.

While the family connection naturally brings additional attention, his development has continued within the youth system as he works toward creating his own identity as a player.

Agüero is currently on trial with Inter Miami Academy, where the 2009-born forward is training and being evaluated by the South Florida club.

The opportunity could potentially lead to a more permanent move. According to reports, Inter Miami and Independiente have an agreement in place that could allow Agüero to join the MLS club’s academy if he successfully passes his trial.
