Nineteen-year-old forward Ada Karatepe is continuing his climb up the professional ladder after making the move from the U.S. youth system to one of Turkey’s biggest clubs, Galatasaray.
Karatepe previously developed with Achilles FC in MLS NEXT, where he built a reputation as a promising attacking prospect thanks to his goal threat and forward instincts.

That form opened the door to a move to Galatasaray — a club that regularly competes in the UEFA Champions League and currently sits at the top of the Süper Lig, Turkey’s top division.
Since arriving in Istanbul, the young striker has already made nine appearances and scored once, beginning the adjustment to senior professional football while continuing his development in a high-level European environment.

Karatepe’s pathway highlights a growing trend in global development: MLS NEXT acting as a springboard to international professional opportunities.
For young players outside traditional MLS academies, strong performances in elite youth leagues can still attract attention from major clubs abroad. Moving into an environment like Galatasaray exposes prospects to higher tactical demands, elite training infrastructure, and European competition standards.

For Karatepe, early first-team minutes at a Champions League-level club provide a valuable benchmark. The next phase will be about turning adaptation into consistent production at the senior level.
